Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Muscat. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of heavy vehicles, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in heavy vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
* Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns and ensure optimal vehicle performance.
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot complex problems.
* Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
* Keep the workshop clean and organized.
* Collaborate with other mechanics and team members.
* May be required to perform road tests to verify repairs.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and repair techniques in the heavy vehicle industry.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (specific number of years preferred).
* Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics and electrical systems.
* Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle problems.
* Familiarity with various heavy vehicle makes and models.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Good communication skills.
* Valid driver's license (heavy vehicle license preferred).
* Relevant certifications or vocational training is a plus.
