Job DescriptionEnglish Teacher: Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement engaging English lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities of children aged 6 to 18 for both remedial and catch-up classes. 2. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for mathematics. 3. Design curriculum and teaching materials that align with both local educational standards and the unique needs of children in humanitarian settings. 4. Assess students’ progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to ensure effective learning outcomes. 5. Keep accurate records of students’ progress, assessments, and other relevant information as required by the institution. 6. Provide timely reports and updates to supervisors, sharing insights on student performance and classroom dynamics. 7. Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, and parents/guardians to address individual student needs and challenges and to address the specific needs and challenges faced by children in the program. 8. Attend weekly follow-up meetings, and feedback sessions with parents and caregivers when needed. 9. Participate in the center’s events activities and provide support in the recreational, PSS, and awareness sessions with beneficiaries. Job Requirements1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Arabic, and/or Language, Mathematics, Education, or a related field. 2. Prior experience in teaching English, and/or Arabic language or Mathematics skills to diverse student groups, preferably within multicultural or humanitarian environments. 3. Understanding of trauma-informed teaching approaches and the ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment. 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, colleagues, and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds. 5. Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in adapting teaching methodologies to suit challenging and evolving circumstances.
