Our Zuwara office is looking for a: Mental Health Supervisor IN MISRATA (at the Beginning) and TRIPOLI (After) (Libyan Nationality) Fixed Term contract (03 months renewable, starting 28 January 2024) in Misrata Main Purpose Participate in the planning, supervision and coordination of mental health / psychosocial related services in the program in accordance with MSF standards in order to provide the most appropriate mental health support for patients. Main Accountabilities · Participate in the planning, organization and coordination of Mental Health activities, in close collaboration with the Project medical referent and the Mental Health activity manager, in order to ensure an efficient and effective implementation of the resources needed while maintaining high levels of quality in Mental Health MSF programs and activities. · Coordinates activities of counselling services with other relevant actors and liaises with the local counterparts (like MoH, other NGO) on mental health matters, including referral services. · Supervise the daily mental health activities and patient support according to MSF protocols and standards in order to provide the most appropriate support for clients with psychosocial needs · Liaise with the other MSF team members of the project · When needed, give psychological support to patients according to MSF protocols to improve mental health conditions of patients and enhance their functionality. Oversee the administrative processes associated with psychosocial functioning. · Compile the data and statistics linked with mental health activities and report to the project medical referent (PMR) or the MAM. · Offer clinical counselling supervision to mental health counsellors in collaboration with the Mental Health activity manager. Ensure SGBV protocol for mental health is followed · Act as focal point for psychiatric care to facilitate referrals to Mentall health GAP clinicians or psychiatrics, monitor follow-up consultations, and track patients under psychiatric care · Provide psychological first aid and other relevant psychosocial techniques for survivors of traumatic experiences. · Provide coverage for MH activities during staff leave in the event of a gap in Counsellor Educators · Individual supervision and group supervision of Counsellor Educators in collaboration with MHAM · Ensure the patient’s related information is kept confidential. Requirements EducationDegree in psychology or related field essential. ExperiencePsychosocial counselling experience of at least 2 years. Previous experience with MSF or another NGO is desirable LanguagesArabic, B2 English · Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. · Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken. · Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
