Our projects harness the transformative power of creativity to foster positive social change and community empowerment. Role Overview: Artolution is seeking a dynamic and creative Communication Officer to drive communication strategies and produce compelling visual and written content for our project in Jordan. The Communication Officer will be responsible for crafting impactful stories through photography, essays/blog posts, and short films/videos, showcasing the implemented activities and their impact. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation: Produce high-quality visual content through professional photography and videography for social media and other purposes, capturing the essence of project activities and community engagement.Written Content: Develop engaging reels, essays, blog posts, and narratives highlighting the project’s achievements, impact stories, and community experiences.Communication Strategy: Devise and implement communication strategies to effectively share project narratives across various platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases.Media Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets and manage press inquiries, aiming to promote project visibility and impact.Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams, artists, and community members to gather compelling stories and visuals.Content Editing: Edit and enhance photographs, videos, and written content to ensure professional quality and alignment with Artolution’s messaging and branding. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Visual Arts, or related fields; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Proven experience (3 years) in visual storytelling, photography, videography, and content creation, preferably within the non-profit or art-focused sector.Proficiency in photography, videography equipment, and editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging narratives and compelling stories.Strong understanding of communication strategies across different media channels.Creativity, innovation, and a passion for capturing impactful stories through visual and written content.Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous. Additional Information: This is a part-time/contractual position based in Jordan, involving travel within the country as required.The Communication Officer will report to the Project Manager and collaborate closely with the communication and project teams.
