Job Purpose:
The Project Coordinator – Civil & Sports Projects will assist in the coordination and execution of both general construction and specialized sports infrastructure projects. This includes managing schedules, materials, subcontractors, and communication among stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful completion of works such as football fields, tennis and padel courts, gyms, and stadium installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
Coordinate civil and sports-related project activities including turf installation, rubber flooring, lighting, and sports equipment.
Assist in developing detailed project schedules and work breakdown structures tailored to sports infrastructure requirements.
Liaise between clients, site teams, and suppliers to ensure the smooth execution of construction and sports facility works.
Communication & Reporting:
Act as the communication bridge between clients, engineers, subcontractors, and senior management.
Prepare weekly progress reports with a focus on civil and sports project updates.
Record and follow up on all action items discussed in meetings or site visits.
Documentation & Compliance:
Manage project documentation including drawings, contracts, site inspections, and material submittals—particularly for sports flooring and specialized installations.
Ensure projects meet Tadweer Future Projects’ quality standards, safety policies, and environmental compliance goals.
Site Support & Monitoring:
Visit project sites to verify progress, quality, and the proper installation of sports flooring, shade structures, fencing, and goalposts.
Track material deliveries and installation progress for sports-related equipment and surfaces.
Identify and escalate potential delays or issues affecting site performance or quality.
Administrative & Procurement Support:
Support procurement planning and delivery tracking of key sports materials like EPDM, artificial turf, stadium lights, and protective netting.
Assist with preparing handover documentation and close-out reports with a focus on sports and recreational facilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Sports Facility Management, or a related field.
2–4 years of project coordination experience, preferably with exposure to sports or recreational facility projects.
Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with construction and sports infrastructure standards and requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of MS Project or similar tools is an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, especially for sports layouts and installations.
Valid Omani driving license preferred.
