Job Title: Accountant
Location: Muscat, Oman (Option to work from home during the probation period of 3 months)
Job Description:
We are a dynamic and growing business based in Muscat, Oman, specializing in providing essential services to telecom companies across the region. As part of our expansion, we are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant, preferably an ACCA Affiliate, to join our team. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Transactions:
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
2. Commissions and Payments:
- Handle commission calculations and payments to sales agents.
- Verify and process invoices from vendors and suppliers.
3. Payroll Preparation:
- Prepare and process payroll for staff and sales agents.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
4. Financial Reporting:
- Generate weekly financial reports for management.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
5. Working Capital Management:
- Monitor and manage working capital.
- Facilitate timely payments to sales agents.
6. Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Organize and secure financial information and documentation.
Qualifications:
- ACCA Affiliate preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting and financial management.
- Strong understanding of Omani financial regulations and tax laws.
- Excellent proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
