SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE IN LOGISTICS AND SHIPPING

Webos Logistics and Shipping LLCSkills Required:1. Present and sell company services to current and potential clients in air, sea, and land freight, proactively generating sales to meet assigned targets.2. Understand customers' business needs, shipment patterns, cargo details, frequency, volumes, and trade lanes.3. Regularly follow up with customers for additional business, explore leads from other divisions, and cross-sell services such as logistics/warehousing, value-added services, and insurance.4. Respond to incoming queries and ensure timely resolution of service issues.5. Calculate and submit freight quotations/proposals by involving the Sales team and agents. Follow up on quotes, re-quote when necessary, and secure bookings. If business is lost, revert with reasons.6. Coordinate with clients during the bridging period before signing contracts to initiate relationships. Brief the internal team before the process of operationalization begins.7. Ensure clients adhere to agreed credit terms; escalate issues to the General Manager and Finance team if necessary.8. Work closely with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution and overall quality improvement for assigned accounts.9. Maintain a database to track business progress, secured clients, clients under review, those moving to competitors, and potential customers.10. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities, providing relevant reports.11. Keep customers informed about market trends and service updates.Shortlisting Benchmark:1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in B2 B and B2 C business development within the shipping and logistics (Export/Import) industry, with in-depth knowledge of export procedures, customs regulations, and documentation requirements.2. Strong market base to promote the company’s services.3. A bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or Cargo management is preferred.4. Excellent knowledge in:o Ocean Freighting: Export, Import, and X-Trade Sales (FCL & LCL).o Air Freighting: Export, Import, and X-Trade Sales.o Courier Services: Export/Import.o Customs Clearance & Transportation: Both Export and Import for Ocean and Air shipments.o Land Freight Consolidation: Shipments to GCC.This description outlines the responsibilities, skills, and qualifications essential for the role, highlighting the comprehensive knowledge required in logistics, freight services, and client relationship management.CV send by WhatsApp 0568777245 24 October 2024
